As you may know already,
It is breast cancer awareness month.
Not only does it take seconds to check , you will get to know what feels right for you- check in the shower, or on the bed, where you can lie flat.
To check the breast or axilla (armpit)
- Lumps, use fingers and move across the breast
- Puckering of the skin- orange peel like skin.
- Pain or discomfort
- changes in the nipple, darkness, discharge (the nipple can also pucker)
- Lift your arm for anything unusual under your armpit, feel right along the arm, above and below the shoulder length.
Most turn out to be nothing or benign, but its best to get checked out by your GP if you have any concerns.
Have a lovely day
