Hand Washing and Eczema

With the current climate we are all being made aware of the importance of hand washing due to Covid 19. How

ever as most individuals find this task easy, eczema sufferers will struggle.

Using your regular gentle emollient soap with water is adequate. The emollient serves the same purpose as soap.

Unfortunately there is no eczema friendly hand sanitiser, as they all contain alcohol which dries the skin out.

It states the use of an emollient

or moisturiser applied twice a day, once the skin has dried to ensure the skin barrier is kept supple which reduces flare ups.
